Pennsylvania Man Sentenced to Five Years' Probation for Stealing Social Security Benefits

A South Franklin Township man was sentenced in federal court Thursday to five years probation with six months home detention with electronic monitoring for fraudulently obtaining social security benefits.

Bruce Gaito, 54, of 1205 Lagonda Road, also was ordered to pay $100,821.64 in restitution on his conviction of theft of government property in the sentence imposed by U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti.

Gaito fraudulently obtained a social security number in the name of David Gaito and used the number to obtain Supplemental Security Income Benefits from the Social Security Administration.
