Seattle Man Caught Living Double Life
A Seattle child molester accused of dodging law enforcement for nearly seven years has been arrested in Bellingham living under an assumed identity, federal investigators claim. When agents with a U.S. Marshals Service task force arrived at Elliott R. Walker’s home, they found the 31-year-old new father living a new life under a new name, according to recently unsealed court documents. Notable in its absence from Walker’s new identity was his 1997 conviction for first-degree child molestation. Also gone was an as-yet unresolved 2005 charge against him alleging that he had not been checking in with the King County Sheriff’s Office as his criminal history required. Writing the court, a special agent with the Social Security Administration said news of Walker’s secret identity – and prior conviction – shocked his live-in girlfriend, who had known him for several years only by his assumed name. “She had no idea of Elliott Ryan Walker’s true identity, his prior child molestation conviction, or felony warrant,” the agent said in a search warrant affidavit. The woman, who recently had a child with Walker, was “visibly upset,” according to investigators. In 1997, Walker was convicted of molesting a 2-year-old girl in Pacific. Walker, who was 17 at the time, admitted to the molestation and was ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Walker last did so shortly before February 2005, when Seattle police issued an arrest warrant for him after he failed to keep up his sex offender registration. Investigators contend Walker fled to Georgia but returned to Washington earlier this year.
