Objectives: To determine whether the Cabinet for Families and Children, Department for Community Based Services, Division of Protection and Permanency, (1) had effective safeguards over the receipt and disbursement of Social Security benefits and (2) ensured Social Security benefits were used and accounted for in accordance with the Social Security Administration’s policies and procedures.
