Texas Man Fraudulently Concealed Security Business to Defraud SSA

A Texas man, who received Title II/XVI benefits for a heart condition since 1999, failed to report opening a security company in 2007.  To avoid detection, the man hired other disability beneficiaries and paid them in cash.  OCIG negotiated a settlement including an $8,000 penalty and a $4,271 assessment, for a total recovery of $12,271, which the man immediately paid.
