The Office of Information Technology (OIT) manages our technology and data analytics functions, and coordinates multiple cybersecurity oversight responsibilities by chairing the OIG cybersecurity workgroup. IT consists of the Development and Operations Division and the Business Intelligence and Analytics Division. Under the leadership of the OIG Chief Information Officer (CIO), OIT develops and implements robust strategies to realize advancements in technology, mature our data capabilities, and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities and risks. The Development and Operations Division continues to enhance our IT capabilities through development of existing resources and external hiring, including deepening our programming and database management skillsets. The Business Intelligence and Analytics Division provides management information and insights through data analytics that support increased operational efficiency and effectiveness, strategic decision-making and business process improvements.
