On April 13, 2012, a U.S. District Court judge in New York issued a nation-wide class action court order in Clark v. Astrue (Clark). The court order prevented the Social Security Administration (SSA) from suspending or denying Old-Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance benefits and Supplemental Security Income payments based solely on the existence of parole or probation violation arrest warrants.

In this audit, our objective was to assess SSA's implementation of the Clark court order.
