Inspector General

Gail S. Ennis is the fourth Inspector General for the Social Security Administration (SSA). Inspector General Ennis was nominated by President Donald J. Trump in October 2017 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate in January 2019. Under her direction, the SSA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) serves the public through independent oversight of SSA’s programs and operations and protects them against fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
