Connecticut Car Mechanic Concealed Work Activity

A Connecticut man applied for Supplemental Security Income and failed to report that he was working as a car mechanic.  Although he had numerous opportunities to report his work activity, he withheld this information for 19 months.  OCIG imposed a $70,000 penalty and a $24,494 assessment, for a total recovery of $94,494.
