Office of Information Technology

The Office of Information Technology manages technology, information technology (IT) solutions, data analytics, and multiple cybersecurity oversight initiatives.   

The Business Intelligence and Analytics Division (BIAD) provides customized, innovative data-driven solutions to proactively identify large-scale Social Security fraud and identify vulnerabilities in the Agency’s systems. BIAD also enhances SSA and OIG operational efficiency, refines strategic decision-making, and maximizes the impact of the organization.  

The Development and Operations Division (DOD) directs and oversees technology and business process integration, network administration, implementation of hardware and software, application development, cybersecurity governance, IT procurement, and other mission-support activities. DOD also provides end user support to OIG personnel and performs other IT support functions.
