Congressional and Intragovernmental Liaison
Kristin Klima serves as Congressional and Intragovernmental Liaison in the Immediate Office. In this capacity, Ms. Klima coordinates OIG’s congressional relations program and liaises with Federal law enforcement officials, the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, and other Federal agencies regarding congressional-related initiatives.
Ms. Klima began her career with the OIG in June 2003, initially as a Program Specialist in what was then known as the Allegation Management Division. In 2005, she was selected for a Special Agent position with the OIG’s Office of Investigations. While employed by the OIG, Ms. Klima has served as a Special Agent in the Baltimore field office and Special Projects Team, and as a Desk Officer and Special Agent in the Criminal Investigations Division. In 2012, she was selected for the position of Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge in the Criminal Investigations Division, as part of the OIG’s Professional Development Series.
Throughout her OIG career, Ms. Klima has made a significant contribution to the OIG's ability to meet its strategic goals and fulfill its mission. Ms. Klima earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
