Gary Czarnecki

Acting Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Communications and Resource Management

Mr. Czarnecki currently serves as the Acting Deputy Assistant Inspector General for the Office of Communications and Resource Management.  Gary came to OIG in 1999 as an Information Technology Specialist providing IT services and support for OIG Field Employees in the New York and Philadelphia Regions. In 2003, he became the Director of the Information Technology Division where he managed nationwide Information Technology Infrastructure, Technical Support and Software Development operations. 

Prior to joining the OIG, Mr. Czarnecki spent 15 years in SSA Operations. He began his career as a Teleservice Representative and moved on to positions of increasing responsibility including Claims Representative, Operations Supervisor and Area Systems Coordinator. Throughout his career, Mr. Czarnecki has received numerous individual and team awards including Commissioner’s Citations and Inspector General Awards. He also held technical certifications as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).  Gary is a graduate of Rutgers University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and English.
